Founded in Georgia’s black belt where they helped flip a local state legislature race, breaking Georgia’s GOP supermajority. In a recent election, they supported dozens of local partners in 25 counties of Georgia’s rural black belt – filling a unique gap – with a historic black woman candidate at the top of the ticket. Central City Concern
Works to end homelessness in Portland and help people achieve their highest potential by providing housing, health care and jobs. CCC’s approach addresses both the systemic drivers of homelessness and the individual factors that can reinforce it.
