Emily Evans
Born and raised in Ashland, Oregon, Emily has dedicated her career to unearthing and dismantling the many ways gender injustice harms us all. From 2014–2021, Emily served as Executive Director of the Women's Foundation of Oregon. In that role, she brought her passion for dismantling sexism, racism, and other forms of oppression back home to the Pacific Northwest, with the goal of creating true and lasting gender justice in our region. Prior to her time leading the Women’s Foundation, Emily worked for several think tanks on the east coast, with an abiding focus on gender justice and multi-sector systemic change. Emily holds a bachelor’s degree from Bryn Mawr College and Master’s in Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. She lives with her wonderful partner, their two terrific kids, and their intrepid mini aussie in NW Portland.
