Research Assistant

Rehaan (he/him) contributes to North Star’s mission as a Research Assistant, where he engages in research and policy analysis to address complex civic challenges and promote equitable, resilient communities. His work involves synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data, supporting initiatives aimed at improving civic well-being, and contributing to policy discussions that help shape a more interconnected and just Portland.

Originally from New Delhi, Rehaan is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics, with a minor in Computer Science. Approaching his senior year, he is especially interested in the intersection of statistical analysis, public policy, and healthcare decision-making. He’s also drawn to exploring how quantitative tools can be applied in fields like financial services and investing.

Beyond his role at North Star, Rehaan enjoys thinking through probability puzzles and their connections to everyday decision-making, engaging with ecological themes in cinema, and rewatching Avatar: The Last Airbender. A frequent runner, he also takes time to explore the intellectual, cultural, and natural vibrancy of Portland.
